CWAJ’s mission is to support higher education, nurturing future leaders who will contribute to a better world. Over the past 60 years, more than 800 Japanese and international women students, including many from developing countries; members of the visually impaired community; and young print artists have benefited from CWAJ’s scholarship program. CWAJ is also helping communities suffering long-term damage from the tsunami and earthquake in the Fukushima region through a scholarship for nursing students; the donation of a medical van to support mental health; and English education and art programs for children.
