05 Mar Are you a voter in ‘suspense’? Here’s how to clear that up before Election Day KUT Radio, Austin’s NPR Station
But if you’re on the suspended list and you don’t vote in this election, you’ll get kicked off the books during what the state calls a “voter purge.” Millions of Texas voters in “suspense” are at risk of being removed from the voter rolls later this year. “People move. They pass away. The roommate doesn’t send the card back,” Elfant said. “There are a lot of reasons that the card either comes back or doesn’t come back to us.” Basically, it means you’ve ghosted the county’s election officials. In Travis County, that’s Bruce Elfant, the county tax assessor-collector.

answers to this question
I bump into it again and again, and simply dont know what to do to answer the VA slam I know is coming over it… “records were silent of the complaint from 89-95” etc… The VA Hotline called me yesterday evening about the status of my claims.
- What does it mean when the suspense date in the VA computer changes?
- Elfant’s office sends out voter registration checks every two years.

- So I was examined, sent home then got my award letter in Oct., only to have the 2nd claim (knee) be deferred.
VA Claim Suspense Date?!?!
So my supplemental claim is still “open”, however, my MH increase is awaiting bookkeeping a decision. I’m not even sure who is supposed to give said “decision”, but at least it’s somewhat moving. The rep on the phone stated that the increase claim had a suspense date of September 6th on it. He sort of explained it in a roundabout way, without giving too many details.
Are all military medical records on file at the VA?
- Before this I would receive the computer generated letter every 2 months stating.
- “There are a lot of reasons that the card either comes back or doesn’t come back to us.”
- I’m thinking hubby thought it was box of trash to be shredded etc.
- Does this mean I have to wait for an answer until May?
So maybe, just maybe they are looking at that and forgetting the knee since it would bring it to 100% if they grant me the TDIU. It all boggles the mind that they changed the suspense suspense account date, which is a good thing I am presuming but not until 3 months after the original suspense date. So even if they had to get updated info from doctor (which I already provided when filling out form for TDIU in Nov.) What could they be possibly be waiting for? I do know they have a lot of files to go through and it keeps getting busier. I’m not sure where deferred to, maybe nowhere.
Some recent messaging from Gov. Greg Abbott may lead you to believe you’re in violation of state law if you’re a suspended voter. Being in suspense is sort of like being in limbo between being on the voter rolls or off the rolls altogether.

Answer Question
If you’re in Travis County, you can check your status at VoteTravis.com. And if you’re one of those suspended voters, you may very well have questions. I have run into retired https://www.bookstime.com/ doctors, and doctors who destroyed all records after a certain period of time.
I submitted for my claim on June 9th of this year, with a C&P Exam for my MH increase on July 1st. So as you all know, I’m trying to get an increase on my MH service connected disability, as well as a supplemental claim that will fall under the PACT Act (sinusitis). Every four years, the state clears out folks on the suspended list who’ve died or left the county or state. That purge will start at the end of the year. If you don’t correct your status before the Oct. 7 registration deadline, you’ll need to fill out a provisional ballot and provide proof of address and/or ID at the polls.
